Who can attend the Newcomers Welcome BBQ?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're a newcomer to Canada, a long-time resident, an international student, or just someone who wants to connect and celebrate diversity—this event is for you.

Is the event really free?

Yes, it’s completely FREE to attend. Just sign up online, show up with a smile, and enjoy the fun, food, and friendships!

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, your friends, your family—and maybe a picnic blanket or lawn chair to relax on. We’ll take care of the rest!

Do I need to register ahead of time?

While walk-ins are welcome, we encourage you to register online in advance so we can plan better and give you a warm WINA welcome!

What happens if it rains?

No worries! The BBQ is happening rain or shine. We’ll have tents and covered areas ready—so come prepared for the weather, and we’ll bring the sunshine in spirit.

Is the event family-friendly?

Absolutely! There will be games, activities, and entertainment for all ages. Kids, parents, students, and grandparents are all invited to join the fun.

How can I volunteer for the event?
